France stabbing: suspect arrested
A young woman was stabbed at the France township.
A young lady sustained several stab wounds in her back and chest; after being assaulted early on Monday morning at the France location.
Displaying multiple defence wounds, the woman, who has not yet been named, was stabilised on scene and transported to hospital.
A suspect, who was in the vicinity, and known to the large community that had gathered, was arrested at the scene. He is due to appear in court soon.
Phillip Parker of the KwaZulu Natal Private Ambulance Services commended the South African Police Services on arresting the suspect before the ambulance left the scene.
