A husband and father of two was declared dead after plunging into Albert Falls dam this past weekend.
Screams of disbelief echoed throughout the home of 27 year old Kamen Naidoo who passed away after he plunged into Albert Falls yesterday.
A family friend of Naidoo stated that he took a walk with a group of friends when they spontaneously decided to jump into the falls. “It was a casual walk that the boys were taking and they never thought that anything bad would happen. What has happened is indeed a tragedy and is a very heartbreaking for the family,” said the friend. Naidoo leaves behind a wife and two children.
Paramedics, along with the SAPS Search and Rescue were called to the scene as the people on scene could not find Naidoo in the water, resulting in the search continuing for almost two hours before he was found.
Sadly, there was nothing that paramedics could do for Naidoo and he was declared dead. The family is currently waiting for the necessary investigations to conclude, thereafter funeral arrangements will follow.
