Top Kids gets a visit from Ronnie Recycler

Top Kids joined the Ronnie Recycler Schools Programme many years ago and have since become recycling ambassadors.

TOP Kids Nursery School in Mondeor received a visit from Ronnie Recycler (Mpact Recycling mascot) and Tamzin Vassanjee (Mrs South Africa finalist) on Thursday, September 15.

Top Kids joined the Ronnie Recycler Schools Programme many years ago when Mpact Recycling was previously known as Mondi Recycling and have since become recycling ambassadors.

The school has a green Ronnie bank which they fill on a monthly basis by encouraging learners to bring paper, magazines, newspapers, cartons (milk and juice cartons) etc from home in the green Ronnie bags provided by Mpact Recycling.

According to marketing representative of Mpact, Yasmeen Adam, Top Kids Nursery School runs a monthly paper drive. “This paper drive contributes towards the Mpact Recycling Schools Competition which the school is participating in and which also ends at the end of September,” she said.

Vassanjee also spoke to the children on the importance of recycling and danced with the children who were excited to see Ronnie.

Top Kids Nursery School would like to thank their learners and parents for supporting the school’s recycling initiative and encourages more community members and businesses to get involved by donating all their unwanted paper, magazines and newspapers to the school for recycling. They need your contribution to help them increase their recycling volumes on a continual basis.
