Kandasamy cast at posh screening

KEEPING up with the Kandasamy’s, has raked in an outstanding R1.6 million at the box office on its opening weekend (March 3), with an attendance of nearly 30 000 people and hundreds gathering at Gold Reef City for a grand screening of the movie, also graced by some of the cast members.

The film opened at number three on the top ten after Logan: The Wolverine and Fifty Shades Darker.

Gold Reef City hosted a grand screening of the movie on Sunday, March 5, and welcomed members of the cast to meet and greet the public.

Keeping up with the Kandasamy’s was produced by the award-winning duo Helena Spring and the late Junaid Ahmed, who died in November 2016. The two-sided family comedy feud was directed by Durban filmmaker Jayan Moodley and co-written by Moodley and Rory Booth.
