Ace Models Jhb South hosts glam awards ceremony

The models from Ace Models in Jhb South were all given awards, crowns and sashes.

ACE Models Jhb South held its annual awards ceremony on December 7 at the Glenvista Country Club.

Every model/student was crowned and given an award and certificate. Director Tshegofatso Mathe co-ordinated and hosted the intimate gala dinner for the models, their families and friends.

During the first part of the awards ceremony, models did a runway walk and were handed certificates and trophies for completing their beginners modelling course. Mathe explained that each of the models has been transformed throughout the year and now he or she walks with his or her head held high and chin up. They are no longer children but models who have evolved from caterpillars into beautiful butterflies. Mathe has worked with the models throughout the year to help them lift their self-esteem and become more confident. The awards ceremony was held to honour their achievements and to acknowledge their progress.

In their first year they have successfully completed their course which focuses on runway, pageantry, photography, public speaking as well as grooming and etiquette.

A buffet dinner was served to all the honoured guests and then the final crowning took place. Each model was crowned and given a sash for a different achievement. Mathe spoke about the pageant and what had been done during the year. She emphasised that Ace is not an agency, but an academy to groom models.

“I focus on teaching my children self-respect, confidence, how to behave and also how to handle auditions. We work on a 52-week curriculum. I am a firm believer in grooming and empowering the youth from an early age to instil confidence and good values in them so that they can make better choices and live to be the best versions of themselves,” said Mathe.

Ace Models is South Africa’s Premier modelling academy and offers a unique and profitable opportunity to suitably passionate and experienced individuals.

Ace Models SA has achieved enormous success in the past and is the fastest growing modelling academy of its kind. Ace Models currently has a massive national footprint with over 17 franchises in South Africa and Namibia.

Following the dinner was the crowning of the models. Each child was given an award for different categories, some being; tiny model of the year, little model of the year, pre-junior model of the year, junior model of the year, Mr pre-junior model of the year, Mr junior model of the year, photographic model of the year, pre-teen model of the year, teen model of the year, personality model of the year and Ace Model of the year.

The awards were closed with parents, family and friends all celebrating and congratulating the models on their successful 2017. The models were; Silindile Zulu, Lesedi Mojelele, Tidimalo Mathe, Oarabile Mojelele, Mathabo Moroeng, Oratile Ngakane, Luna Ngwenya, Reneilwe Podile and Daniela De Araujo.
